Ex-Reps member, Hon Cletus Obum
A pro-APC group, G.37, has appointed former House of Representatives member, Hon. Cletus Obun, to lead a 12-member solidarity delegation to Osun State.
The delegation will participate in activities ahead of the Aug. 15 governorship election and support the APC’s campaign, the group said.
Planning and Strategy Officer of G.37, Mr. Miriki Ebikibina, disclosed this in a statement issued on Sunday.
Ebikibina said the mission followed resolutions reached during the group’s recent visit to the APC National Deputy Chairman (South), Dr. Ben Nwoye, in Abuja.
He said the visit reaffirmed the group’s commitment to supporting the APC in off-cycle and general elections nationwide.
According to him, the delegation comprises two members from each of the country’s six geopolitical zones.
He said members include Obun as chairman, Hon. Jumoke Anifowoshe as secretary and Comrade Abba Yaro as organising secretary.
Others are Ebikibina, Alhaji Haddy Ametuo and other members of the G.37 forum.
Ebikibina said the delegation would provide moral support to the APC and attend the party’s grand finale campaign rally in Osun.
He said the group appreciated Dr. Nwoye for encouraging its activities and supporting its vision.
The group also thanked Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, and Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri, for supporting the forum.
It specifically acknowledged Diri for appointing Ebikibina as Technical Adviser on General Duties in Bayelsa State.
The statement recalled that during the Abuja meeting, Nwoye urged G.37 members to remain committed to strengthening the APC at state and national levels.
It added that Nwoye assured the group of his continued support and that of the party’s leadership.
