Obi-Datti supporters rally in Ota
LAGOS – Peter Obi Presidential Global Network (PPGN), one of the strong Support Groups of the Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi Gregory and Datti Yusuff Baba-Ahmed, on Saturday, October 8, 2022, organized a mega rally in Ado-Odo Ota Ogun State.
The event which was held to drum up grassroot supports for the candidature of Mr. Peter Obi, had a large gathering of Youth, market women, commercial transporters, artisans, professionals, party loyalists and a large portion of Ota residents, who started their procession from Winners Church along the Sango-Idiroko road to the foot of Sango-Ota bridge, where the organisers also addressed the crowd.
According to them, “Sango-Ota town is one of the most populated and industrialized Local Government Areas in South West Nigeria, making it very strategic in the campaign plans of our group, coupled with the cosmopolitan nature of town accommodating Nigerians from all places.
“Our was organised to fully express the hope of many youths who wanted to see a prosperous New Nigeria of their dreams, where the rights and privileges of everyone will be guaranteed as enshrined in the constitution. Peter Obi Gregory represents the symbol of that hope and a Nigerian that all of us can be proud of.” They explained.
The rally was very peaceful and well coordinated, having the presence of the Nigeria Police force, Department of State Service (DSS) and operatives of the Ogun State Traffic Enforcement and Compliance Agency, TRACE managing the traffic situation. (Daily Independent)
