The National Coordinator of Obi-Datti Frontiers, Kelvin Odatse Peters, has appealed to the indigenes and residents of Benue State to have patience as the Presidential Candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi, would wipe away their tears when he becomes President in 2023.

Reacting to the pool party which the residents held in mud waters to celebrate the Independence Day anniversary which they used to protest the many years of neglect and failure of the Federal Government to fix the dilapidated Otukpo-Enugu Federal Highway, Peters said that the current government has run out of ideas and, as such, could no longer do anything to help Nigerians out of their numerous challenges.

He wondered why federal government should allow a six-kilometre road to degenerate to the extent that it would become a death trap.

According to him, the APC-led Federal Government has succeeded in doing since it came into power was to push Nigeria into multidimensional crisis, adding that was the reason why governance has become an uphill task for them.

He said that if the government was thinking, it would have realized the importance of Otukpo-Enugu road to the nation’s economy and would not have wasted time in making sure that the road was in the best of shape.

Odatse Peters urged Benue residents to vote for Peter Obi in the forthcoming presidential election since he is the only one who has the capacity to solve the numerous problems plaguing them and the country.

According to him, as Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi did not owe road contractors and none of them played with the contract he was given to do.

“It wounds my soul to see what is going on in Benue State in particular and Nigeria in general. Thecollapse of security, the collapse of infrastructure, the collapse of the economy, the collapse of education, in short, the collapse of everything and I am pleading with my people of Benue State to take heart because, solution is on the way. All they need to do is to vote for the Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi, and he would bring all that to an end. He did it before as governor and he will do it again when he becomes Nigeria’s president,” Odatse Peters said.
