The twin Effurun and Warri cities in Delta State were grounded by a crowd of supporters of the presidential standard bearer of the Labour Party (LP) Peter Obi on Saturday.

The supporters took off about 8 am from the popular Effurun roundabout in Uvwie Local Government Area through to Jakpa Junction and on to Warri City Stadium, in Warri South LGA where party leaders addressed them.

They rallied under the aegis of Delta State Alliance for Peter Obi Movement (DAPOM), insisting “A new Nigeria is possible” with good leadership.

The supporters spotted green and white, including the national flag and placards as they marched in motorcades and sang solidarity songs around the metropolis.

Some of the inscriptions are: “We need Nigeria refining her own crude oil and producing her own products”; “We say no to insecurity, corruption, ASUU strike”; “Employing graduates and not turning them to Keke/Okada riders”; “Nigeria must celebrate education as key to economic development” and “A vote for Peter Obi is a vote for better Nigeria” among others.
