Delta PDP, APC trade words over defection

Reactions have trailed the controversial issues surrounding the defection of some Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members to the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State.

Chief Paulinus Akpeki, who served in different capacities under the PDP government of the Uduaghan administration as Commissioner for Housing and Chief of Staff, joined by other state PDP top-notch officers including erstwhile PDP commissioners, Mr. Ebifa Ijeomah, Olorogun Jaro Egbo, and Mr. Misan Kubeyinj, have dumped the PDP for the APC

Meanwhile the PDP in the state, led by the state party Chairman, Edwin Uzor, reiterated that the defection to the opposition poses no threat to the party,

The Chairman also raised allegations of financial misappropriation against Chief Akpeki, accusing him of receiving monies for contracts without executing the projects.
