Senator dissociates self from vote of confidence passed on Saraki

Lawmaker representing Jigawa South-West Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Senator Sabo Mohammed Nakudu, has dissociated himself from the recent vote of confidence passed on Senate President Bukola Saraki.

He made this known in a press release personally signed, saying that he was not consulted before his name was included amongst the senators who secured vote of confidence on Saraki.

Nakudu said in the statement: “I was not consulted before my name was included in the list of senators who signed vote of confidence on the 8th Senate leadership.”

He added: “I want to assure my constituency that I am a loyal party man and remain committed to our great party, APC.”

Before now, there has been report that 84 Senators have thrown their weight behind the senate president, thereby passing their vote of confidence on him.
