The list of the ministerial nominees sent to the Senate yesterday evening for screening by President Muhammadu Buhari will remain sealed until the upper chamber resumes sitting next Tuesday, Senate President Bukola Saraki has said.
Dr. Saraki spoke via a statement issued this morning in Abuja by his Special Assistant on Media, Mr. Yusuph Olaniyonu.
According to the syatement, the list was submitted in a sealed envelope by Chief of Staff to the President, Alhaji Abba Kyari and Senator Ita Enang, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Legislative Matters (Senate).
Saraki, going by the tradition of the Senate, also decided that “the envelope will remain sealed till Tuesday October 6, during the plenary sitting of the Upper legislative chamber, and it will be opened and read to Senators.”
