Nasarawa State Government says it will provide infrastructure at the popular peninsula covering about 1,000 hectares in Karu Local Government Area of the state.

Governor Tanko Al-Makura said this on Monday during an on-the-spot assessment of the peninsula in Nyanya Gwandara.

Al-Makura said that the state government would provide potable water, electricity, roads and sewage system to help in developing the area.

He said that individuals and organisations who were allocated land would receive right of first refusal before government's decision on what to do with the land.

Al-Makura explained that the allotees would be charged for the infrastructure development and other amenities to be provided before handing over of the land.

He added that Tongyi Allied Company would be given the layout to study before the state government embarked on the infrastructure development.

The governor said that his administration would continue to provide the necessary basic amenities to the people of the state. (NAN)
