Legal Adviser of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Enugu State, Chief Alex Amujogu, has said that the party will not tolerate interlopers trying to destroy it in the state.
Amujogu said this while addressing journalists in Enugu on Thursday on the perceived activities of alleged “impostors” acting to be the party’s officials in the state.
He said that “everybody knows that APGA in Enugu State is one and we do not have faction”.
According to him, we have resolved to remain one indivisible entity as a party poised to take over Enugu State.
The legal adviser said that the party members would not fold their hands and watch few individuals destroy the party they suffered for years to build in Enugu State.
“Our attention has been drawn for an intended event claimed to have been scheduled by APGA Enugu State, which in all bases our party is not aware because we have one Chairman in Enugu State, Chief Elechi Onyia.
“We have made a report to all the security agencies and by the grace of God they would stop the unauthorised event.
“We have gone to the venue of the event and reported it to security agencies.
“They do not have any bases to organise such an event. The event should be organised by the chairman of the party not anyone,” Amujogu said.
He, however, threatened to take legal action against activities of “interlopers” and “impostors” henceforth.
Speaking, former state Chairman of the party, Chief Sochima Nwachukwu, condemned the action, saying that it was worrisome some people are bent on using the party platform to achieving personal gains.
“People must join APGA in a normal process not imposing themselves on the party.
“Everybody know that APGA in Enugu State is one and a very peaceful party,” Nwachukwu said.
