Another Ghanaian leader to die before December – Prophet who predicted President Mills’ death

Apprehension has gripped Ghana following a prophecy that another of the country’s political leaders would die before December.

The prophecy was made by a certain Apostle Addo Agyekum who allegedly predicted the death of President John Atta Mills. Ghana has been thrown into mourning since Tuesday (July 24) when Prof. Mills suddenly died in office with just months left to complete his first tenure. Speaking on a popular programme on the Tema-based Adom FM yesterday, Apostle Agyekum, drew attention to his prophecy of October 2011 that two presidential candidates would die before the December 2012 Ghanaian elections. Apostle Agyekum, who is also the Chief Executive Officer of Tete Atempong Herbal and Prayer Centre, had predicted that that one of the two would die from a chronic ailment and the other in an accident. President Mills, who had a history of chronic throat cancer, died of cardiac arrest.

The cleric predicted that the death of the two presidential candidates would force Ghana’s Electoral Commission to postpone the December 7 general elections, resulting in tension that might culminate in armed conflict and the death of several people.

Apostle Agyekum claimed that the only way the prophecy could be reversed is if Ghanaians “change from their evil ways.”

He announced plans to meet newly-sworn-in President in connection with the prophecy, vowing: “I will do it when the time comes and I don’t care if the security officers will beat me, I will present it to the President at God’s own appointed time.”
