Nigeria’s international music superstar 2face Idibia has spoken about the danger of speed-driving.
The ‘African Queen’ crooner spoke with a Kenyan media outfit NET recently and revealed he almost lost his life in his infamous 2001 car crash.
“It was in Lagos. I was driving from Kuramo beach then... I was drunk... As I reached the bend I couldn’t even...you know these street poles with concrete base... When I woke up in the hospital I was like men, so that’s how I would have just gone like that? It was crazy and after that accident I started having speed phobia,” he said in part.
The singer-songwriter and record producer was in Kenya recently for the third season of TV music show Coke Studio.
Meanwhile, 2Face is set to release his biography titled ‘A very good bad guy: The story of 2Face Idibia’ as part of activities marking his 40th birthday celebration in Lagos on Friday.
The book will contain a detailed interview with 2face, lyrics and discography, views from some of those who have shaped his life and career, an insider’s journey through his life and times, as well as a collection of some of the most important articles, reviews, features and news about him since 2004.
