The Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, has said that his aspiration to contest for any political position is in the hands of God, even as he is yet to declare for any position.

He stated this while fielding questions from newsmen, yesterday, during the distribution of foods items to vulnerable people at the Hailru Audu Stadium, Birnin Kebbi, the state capital.

The minister who said that power belongs to God added that it was the same God that takes the same away from anyone as he wishes.

Malami through a non-governmental organisation (NGO) – Kaddimya Foundation,distributed food items worth millions of naira to the less-privileged as part of Ramadan.
“I urge people to support this administration for empowering the youth and vulnerable people. President Muhammad Buhari, and the Kebbi State Governor, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, are aware of this gesture,” he said.

The minister also emphasised that the gesture was to complement the government’s efforts in supporting the women, especially widows and orphans in the state.

“This Ramadan gifts will be shared across the 21 local councils of the state,” he said.

Speaking earlier, Governor Bagudu commended Malami’s efforts in supporting the less privileged.

The governor who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) Alhaji Babale Umar Yauri, added that arrangements have been concluded by the state government for the distribution of foods items to the people of the state as part of Ramadan. (The Guardian)
