President Muhammadu Buhari has commended efforts being made to isolate and defeat Boko Haram insurgents, for peace to reign in the Northern part of Nigeria.
The president made this known while speaking at a press conference with the Togolese President Faure Gnasingbe at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
He noted the challenges fighting on all fronts and at the same time providing infrastructure.
He also commended Cameroon, Chad, Niger and Benin Republic for their support so far.
The Togolese president also hailed Nigeria for the efforts put in place to defeat Boko Haram and promote peace in the African continent.
The two leaders believe that cooperation among African countries should be encouraged adding that it will not be easy to tackle the numerous challenges confronting the sub-region. (Channels TV)
