APGA Anambra Central senatorial aspirant Uzuegbunam Okagbue UZU

Former Chief of protocol to ex-Anambra State governor, Willie Obiano, Uzuegbunam Okagbue, on Friday picked his expression of interest and nomination forms from the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA headquarters in Abuja, to contest the Anambra Central Senatorial Seat.
Okagbue, who came to the limelight in the state during his time with Obiano as Chief of Protocol, would be contesting the ticket in APGA with former National Chairman of the party, Chief Victor Umeh, who was sacked from the red chambers by the incumbent Senator Uche Ekwunife of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The 44 year-old banker Uzu, who also served as deputy chief of staff to Obiano is an astute senior banker of about a decade his advent into government and politics.
According to the media director and spokesman, UZU campaign, Ebuka Onyekwelu, Uzuegbunam will be transversing the nook and cranny if Anambra Central in a mass movement fir political regeneration.
He said: “Uzu by all standards, is a complete representation of what the next generation of public service must look like.
“Public service must be pioneered by competent professionals who have shown capability and with credible results that points to their will power and dedication to work schedule, while meeting desired expectations.
“Uzu Okagbue is the youngest in the race and by far, the choice of the youths, not just because he is young, but because he is a competent youth.
“With today’s event, Uzuegbuna Okagbue is clearly established as an aspirant of APGA, awaiting the primary election which we believe he is the choice of APGA and will emerge the candidate of APGA for Anambra Central Senatorial election, because APGA wants to win the election and not just merely participate.”
