Liverpool, the biggest club in the world, gushes Awoniyi after big career move

Nigeria’s international striker Taiwo Awoniyi is over the moon after joining English Premier League outfit Liverpool from Imperial Academy.

The 18-year-old forward who was part of the Flying Eagles squad to the FIFA U-20 World Cup

and currently plays in Nigeria’s U-23 team, has been sent on loan to German Bundesliga side FSV Frankfurt.

“This is the biggest club in the world and I’m privileged to be here,” Awoniyi told Liverpoolfc.com.

“I’ll try to develop myself very well so that when I come back to Liverpool I’ll be able to add value to the team. When I’m in the red shirt, I will always give my very best to make the fans happy,” he added.

The Nigerian star would be hoping to get regular playing time at Bundesliga 2 side FSV Frankfurt under manager Tomas Oral.
