With rising unemployment and uncertainty in the global economy, the social and economic demands on men as heads of the family is becoming even more burdensome on a daily basis. As a result, most men are silently groaning under the weight of societal expectations, cultural programming and traditional gender roles.
To help men ride the storm of unemployment and financial dependence, a non-governmental organisation (NGO), Valour Digest, has packaged a life-enhancement seminar entitled “Achieving Success through Financial Independence”.
According to a media statement from the NGO, Mr. Benson Uwheru, a financial consultant and senior manager with Ernst & Young, will share insights at the event which holds 9am on Saturday September 5, at the Bible Guesthouse, Palmgrove Estate, Ilupeju, Lagos. “While the challenges are varied, one thread that runs through every fabric of masculine desire is financial independence,” the statement noted, adding:
“Being a man in our modern world is more challenging than ever. As men, our self-worth is generally tied to how well we are able to perform. The society has nothing but disdain for a man who lacks the capacity to provide for his family, do good for himself, as well as make positive contributions to the world around him.”
For logistics reason, the NGO requires intending participants to register here for the life-changing seminar: http://bit.ly/valourdigest.
