Immediate past governor of Akwa Ibom State, Chief Godswill Obot Akpabio, has been rushed to the National Hospital, Abuja, for urgent medical attention after being involved in a car crash in the nation’s capital, reports from Abuja said.
The accident was said to have occurred along the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport Road (around Bolingo Junction close to the Ship House) as Akpabio’s convoy was speeding towards the City Gate.
Akpabio, who is the Senate Minority Leader, reportedly suffered injuries when the car conveying ran into another car.
