PDP complains of ‘mago mago’ in Edo governorship election

Though it is too early in the day, complaints have started to emanate from the camp of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), whose candidate, retired Major General Charles Airhiavbere, is mounting a spirited challenge to unseat Governor Adams Oshiomhole of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN).

A special correspondent of Transport & Business Express covering the election quotes a PDP chieftain, Col. Tunde Akogun (retd.) as expressing worry over alleged discrepancies.

“We are in Col. Akogun’s house. Just interviewed him. He complained of discrepancies in Igarra,” our special correspondent said.

The nature of the alleged discrepancies are yet unclear.

Transport & Business Express reports that PDP, which is in power at the federal level, is desperate to win Edo State. Both President Goodluck Jonathan and his deputy, Namadi Sambo, were in Edo to campaign for Gen. Airhiavbere
