Dr Okezie Victor Ikpeazu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been declared the winner of the Abia governorship election concluded early this morning, after a supplementary poll.

Ikpeazu polled a total of 264,713 votes to beat his closest rival, Dr Alex Otti of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) who got 180,882 votes. The margin of defeat is 83,827 votes.
