A foremost women leader and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akwa Ibom, Obonganwan Imo Isemin has congratulated the Governor-elect, Mr Udom Emmanuel.

In the congratulatory message in Uyo, Obonganwan Isemin described the election as “a keenly contested match.”

Meanwhile, political analysts in the state have noted that Obonganwan Imo Isemin, wife of the first civilian governor of the state, late Obong Akpan Isemin, has been the first APC stalwart in the state to concede defeat and send a message of congratulations to Udom..

Observers in the state, have commended Obonganwan Isemin, noting that she had followed President Goodluck Jonathan’s example to sustain democratic process in Nigeria.

They expressed their expectations that “the defeated APC gubernatorial candidate, Mr. Umanah Okon Umanah, would soon congratulate the Governor-elect.
