Governor Mukhtar Yero of Kaduna State has thrown in the towel and congratulated Nasir El-Rufai of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who beat him in yesterday’s governorship election.
News Express earlier reported that Yero, of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was trailing El-Rufai with a wide margin. According to a tweet by El-Rufai @elrufai:
“Just received a phone call from Gov Mukhtar Ramalan Yero congratulating me for winning the Kaduna Gubernatorial election. I thanked him too.”
