Confirmed guber results: Amosun declared winner; Ugwuanyi, Tambuwal, Okowa, Wike, Ambode, Udom, Ortom also winning

Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun was this morning declared winner of the governorship election held in the state by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital.

Amosun, of the All Progressives Congress (APC), secured re-election by winning 11 out of the 20 local government areas with total votes of 306,988. Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) came second with victory in nine local government areas and total votes of 201,440.

Elsewhere across the country, the following governorship candidates have as good as secured victories and are expected to be declared governors-elect by INEC:

*Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu, PDP)

*Aminu Waziri Tambuwal (Sokoto, APC)

*Ifeanyi Okowa (Delta, PDP)

*Nyesom Wike (Rivers, PDP)

*Akinwunmi Ambode (Lagos, APC)

*Udom Emmanuel (Akwa Ibom, PDP)

*Samuel Ortom (Benue, APC)
