Card Reader fails in Kebbi, stalls early commencement of accreditation

Card Reader malfunction has stalled commencement of accreditation despite early arrival of officials in many polling units visited in Zuru, Zuru Local Government Area of Kebbi State.

At the two voting points in Zegdari, thump prints of most of the voters were rejected, which necessitated the filling of Incident Form by about 60% of voters as at the time of filling this report.

Unlike the presidential election of March 28, today’s governorship and State Assembly balot is experiencing low turn-out of voters.

Many officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) are also seen operating on their motorcycles due to lack of furniture.

“We arrived here before 7am, we couldn't get chairs and table to work on,” the Presiding Officer said.
