PDP will taste the wrath of Rivers people during 2015 elections —APC

Rivers State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has vowed that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will face the wrath of the people of Rivers State during the forthcoming general elections,

The Chairman of the party in the state, Dr. Davies Ibiamu Ikanya, in a statement issued Thursday in Port Harcourt stressedthat PDP cannot escape punishment for “all the evils the party has visited on the people of Rivers State. It will be visited with the wrath of the people during the elections on March 28 and April 11,”

He noted that Rivers State PDP has already been thrown into mourning following the rejection of the party’s s cloned voters’ cards by INEC’s card reader machines during the test-run in Port Harcourt.

“It has been a period of mourning for the PDP leadership in Rivers State and its followers as the successful outcome of INEC’s mock election to test the workability of the card readers proved that the party’s purchase of stolen INEC permanent voters’ cards and all the funds the party expended on cloning PVCs was a mere waste.

“The imminent use of card readers during the forthcoming elections has thrown PDP’s rigging strategy off-balance since the party can never win any credible election with the crop of people the party is parading,” Ikanya said.

He advised PDP to return all the cloned and stolen voters’ cards and not to endanger the lives of those it intends to commission to use the cards during the polls as the Rivers INEC Commissioner has threatened to arrest such people if they attempt using the cards again.

“To compound PDP’s woes, monarchs, Christians and non-indigenes in the State have publicly rejected the party,” Ikanya said.

The chairman added: “Traditional rulers in the State have restated their support for our governorship candidate, Dr. Dakuku Peterside. The royal fathers have vowed that PDP will suffer a humiliating defeat in the State during the elections.

“At the same time, the non-indigenes through their various chapters in all the local government areas of the state have vowed to pay back PDP’s gubernatorial candidate, Chief Nyesome Wike, in his own coin for all the misery he caused non-indigenes during his reign as the Chairman of Obio-Akpor Local Government when he used his office to impose severe taxes on the non-indigenes and subjected them to nightmares. Besides, the non-indigenes have promised to ensure that his threat to sack them from the Rivers State civil service will not materialise by voting him out.

“We commend the Rivers State people for vowing not to have anything to do with any Ogboni Candidate as populated by the PDP leadership to avoid the State being initiated into any devilish society by May, 29th 2015 as being planned by the PDP leadership as the State was dedicated to God by its founding fathers on its creation in 27th May, 1967.”

Ikanya commended the people of Rivers State, “including our revered monarchs and non-indigenes, for vowing to ensure that PDP suffers humiliating defeat in these elections.”

He promised to work with them all “to realise our common dream of enthroning a God-fearing administration under Dr. Dakuku Peterside during the April 11 gubernatorial election.”
