Chairman of the Alliance for Democracy (AD) Senator Mojisoluwa Akinfewa, has said that the national leader of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is unfit to play a key role in Nigeria politics and should be chased out of the country
Akinfenwa made this assertion during the handing over of the party’s flag to the gubernatorial candidate of the party in Lagos, Bola Ogunseye.
“The force behind APC is Tinubu, he is the engine room, the founder, the leader, the owner. Lagos is the theatre of political war for 2015 elections. 80 per cent of the resources of the state belong to this man who must be chased out of the political arena of Nigeria,” he said.
The chairman alleged that Tinubu has conquered Lagos and acquired it, stressing that he performed this great feat through manoeuvring, scheming and arrangement noting that everything about him is by arrangement, his birth, place of birth, education, governorship, are all ‘arrangee business’.
He further stated that Tinubu having conquered and acquired Lagos, has now shifted his attention to conquer and acquire Nigeria, noting that if allowed, it might be the end of true democracy in Nigeria, as the National Assembly will be a mere rubber stamp.
Bemoaning the state of the nation he said, “We are mindful of the unfolding political events and challenges facing us today as a nation. Our infrastructure are decrepit, to the extent that for nearly thirty years prior to 1999, not a single power plant was built to accommodate the growing need and population; not one single inch of new rail line was added.”
He took his audience through lengthy comparison between the two foremost contenders President Goodluck Jonathan and General Mohammed Buhari, maintaining that President Goodluck remains a better option for the country, a reason he said, made his party to endorse him.
