Real cause of Davido’s accident revealed •Goes underground

Music maestro, David Adedeji Adeleke aka Davido

There are emerging facts which point to the real cause of a recent accident involving music maestro, David Adedeji Adeleke popularly known as Davido.

The social media was agog late on Monday about an undisclosed accident which resulted in a leg injury sustained by the 28-year-old music star and father of three daughters from different women.

His personal lawyer, Barrister F. Ajudua broke the news of the accident when he (Ajudua) posted a picture of him and Davido on the social media, with the singer’s leg heavily bandaged.

No details were given as to the nature and cause of the accident, but the lawyer claimed to have rushed the artiste to an undisclosed hospital for treatment.

Checks by Maggie’s Blog suggest a possibility that the Atlanta, US-born Afrobeats performing artiste from Osun State might have been under the influence of alcohol as at the time of the accident.

Davido who refers to himself as Omo Baba Olowo (OBO), Yoruba expression meaning a wealthy man’s child, personally shared a post on his Instagram page hours before the accident which buttresses the alcohol angle.

Along with his picture showing him leaning against a table inside an office and holding up his middle finger to signify f..k, he wrote: “It’s my fucking brother’s birthday. I’m getting drunk today.”

Davido did not disclose the name of his “brother” whose birthday it was and the venue of the birthday bash, but information about his accident emerged hours after his “I’m getting drunk today” post.

Meanwhile, two days ago, the Skelewu crooner announced that he had changed his phone number and was not ready to interact with the public for a while.

This suggests that he would be literally going underground to take care of his injury.

“If you can’t reach me don’t reach me. I will contact you. All my life I have put people before me. I think it’s time to actually live my life and take care of myself. I have changed my number. I needed (sic) some cleansing to do. Love y’all,” he said on Wednesday.
