Actress, singer and songwriter Tonto Charity Dikeh will be celebrating her birthday on Tuesday, June 9, 2020.

That day, the Obio Akpor, Rivers State-born Petrochemical Engineering graduate from the Rivers State University of Science and Technology will turn 35.

But the controversial entertainer and mother of one boy whose less than one year marriage to Oladunni Churchill broke up irretrievably four years ago is banning friends, colleagues, relations and fans from giving her birthday gifts.

She announced this during the week when she wrote:

“This year I'm not taking gifts, if you have a gift for me, please donate it to any motherless home around your neighbourhood or of your choice. Buy them food, drinks, make them happy and tell them it’s my birthday. Send me pictures. This is the only gift I want because as of today I am a woman who has everything she ever wanted. I’m grateful. #June 9.”

And to those planning a birthday party for her she said,

“Also please I heard that some groups of amazing people are planning different surprise parties for me, I appreciate you all so much but remember that they will arrest us o. That one isn’t in my power o. I’m so grateful ehn. God bless you all.”
