Breaking News: Prof. Ekoko, ex-Delta State University VC, released form kidnappers’ den

Kidnapped former Vice Chancellor of Delta State University, Prof. Abedgnigo Ekoko, has been released.

A reliable source close to the Delta State Government told News Express minutes ago: “Prof. A. E. Ekoko has been released. Details in a moment.”

News Express recalls that the foremost educationist (shown in photo) was abducted last week Sunday morning as he left a church service in Uzere, Isoko South Local Government Area.

Ekoko, 72, who is the current chairman of the governing council of Delta State Polytechnic in Ogwashi-Uku, was abducted shortly on coming out of St. Paul Anglican Church.

The state government had assured that he would soon be freed.
