In a bid to contribute his quota as a philanthropist and humanitarian with a benevolent heart, Bishop Isaac Idahosa recently demonstrated love for Lagosians by supporting them with lockdown relief packages.
Since the Federal Government of Nigeria issued the executive order mandating a 14-day compulsory lockdown of Lagos, Ogun and Abuja in her frantic effort to combating Covid-19, more Nigerians in the low income strata have continued to wail at the decision for lack of money to stock food stuffs in the house. The public outcry has made Idahosa, the Presiding Bishop of Illumination Assembly, God First Ministry International, to commence the distribution of food stuffs and hand sanitisers to people most hit by the Covid-19 lockdown.
The Bishop was accompanied by Nollywood honchos, Chico Ejiro, Keppy Ekpeyoung Bassy and a host of others for the work distributed relief materials including bags of rice, beverages and other provisions and also hand sanitisers.
Speaking during the distribution exercise, Idahosa encouraged the people to obey public laws instructing them to stay at home, as it was in the benefit of all. He also reiterated that everyone’s life was of importance to him.
Bishop Idahosa also told members of his church to halt payment of offering over coronavirus, instructing them to manage themselves following restrictions of movement.
According to the cleric, this is the time to survive at a time coronavirus is taking a toll on the country and the world. He therefore urged the members to spend their offerings on themselves to keep body and soul together while the lockdown continues in Lagos State.
