Pan-Igbo cultural organisation: Ohanaeze, on Tuesday, February 18, 2020, organised a prayer session at the Igbo Centre, Wulari Maiduguri, for peace to return to Borno State.
Igbos within Maiduguri locked their shops and businesses for the prayers. The lockdown lasted until 12p.m.
Ohanaeze Borno State President, Elder Mazi Uche Chris, stated that they organised the prayer session because they want God to intervene in the security situation in the state and the country as a whole.
Rev Maxwell Njoku, who conducted the service, prayed for the leadership of Borno under Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum and for President Muhammadu Buhari. He urged all patriotic citizens of the state to give maximum cooperation and support to the current administration.
