Legal and Development analyst Bashir Maidugu
Bashir Maidugu, a Nigerian legal and Development analyst and a Special Adviser to Borno State Governor, Prof Babagana Umara Zulum, has been announced as one of the key speakers at the 2nd Annual MENA Public Private Partnership (PPP) international conference holding March 2 – 4, 2020 at Conrad Hotel, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
A statement on the conference website indicated that Maidugu, an international speaker, would deliver a lecture on “The AfCFTA and the Infrastructure Investment Opportunities It Presents: The need for Private Sector Finance”. AfCFTA stands for African Continental Free Trade Area Agreement Area (AfCFTA).
Further checks showed that Maidugu is the only resource person from Sub-Sahara Africa – the other resource persons from Africa being from Tunisia, Algeria, Egypt and Morocco.
The Dubai conference, according to the organisers, has the following objectives:
“Accelerate PPP initiatives to foster a route for investment and economic growth. Introducing the region’s first unique matchmaking session, bringing together key dialogues between Megaproject owners, developers, and Chief Investors to analyse the different approaches of modern PPP mechanisms.
