Barely 48 hours after former Director-General of Securities and Exchange Commission, SEC, Arunma Oteh, left office, a gale of redeployment of top management staff in the various departments of the commission has begun.
It was reliably gathered yesterday that at least 69 employees were moved from their former positions to new ones, including some close confidants of the former Director-General, who were moved from the headquarters to Lagos and other offices nationwide.
It was also learnt that the changes may be on for the next few days as part of strategic plan of the new helmsman to get “optimal value” from all employees.
“I can confirm to you that changes are being effected in the various departments. We heard that at least 60 people were moved today.
“As it is, it is certain that other top management staff will still be moved within the next few days,” the source stated.
Oteh left office on Monday following the end of her tenure on January 6, this year.
The former Executive Commissioner, Operations, Mr. Mounir Gwarzo, took over from her as Acting Director-General.
Oteh, who noted that her five-year tenure at the commission was outstanding, attributed her achievements to the cooperation and understanding she enjoyed from every member of staff.
