Bharath University India has appointed UNESCO Laureate, Professor Sir Bashiru Aremu, the Vice Chancellor, Crown University International Chartered Inc. (Ghana, America), as a Member of its Advisory Board.

Prof Sir Aremu disclosed his on Tuesday via a press statement made available to journalists today by his Director of Media and Publicity, Bieni Victor Emenike.

He restated his commitment to global enhancement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 4), which bothers on quality education.

The UNESCO Laureate also harped on the need for all stakeholders to promote valuable guidance, contribution and support towards achieving global standards in education.

He expressed gratitude for the confidence reposed in him by Bharath University and pledged to support the institution on joint research and academic activities on behalf of various universities and organisations worldwide.

Bharath University (Bharath Institute of Higher Education and Research (BIHER) is also called Bharath Institute of Science and Technology (BIST). The university, formerly known as Bharath Engineering College, is located in Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu, India.

It is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with the highest grade of A (Number one in the list of Indian Universities).

Bahrath University is also approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) as a higher Education that offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral degree programmes in fields such as science, technology, engineering, medicine as well as dentistry, physiotherapy and nursing), arts, and management – to mention but a few.
