The leadership of Jaw Jaw Africa has lamented the death of Diji Akinhanmi, whom it described as “a thoroughbred journalist and media administrator”, noting that his passage “is a reminder that life in this world is like a dazzling mirage.”

A press statement signed by the Initiator of Jaw Jaw Africa, Victor Eniola Mark, said: “We received with shock the news of the death of Diji Akinhanmi and erudite media professional and thoroughbred journalist.

“As sad as this is, it is also a reminder that life in this world like a dazzling mirage; appearing briefly and disappearing.”

Jaw Jaw Africa stressed the need to be humble and supportive to all who need help to the extent possible.

“We at Jaw Jaw Africa will always remember the support Diji Akinhanmi gave us. We must equally use our positions positively to help those in need humbly supporting the goals of others for we are dust.

“Mr. Akinhanmi showed clearly by his actions that there was nothing he had that he was not given and this we remember him for,” the statement said.

Jaw Jaw Africa concluded by commiserating with the family of Diji Akinhanmi while also sympathising with his friends, relatives and colleagues.

“We must also use this medium to sympathise with his family, friends, relatives and colleagues,” it said.

Diji Akinhanmi was till his death the General Manager of the Ogun State Broadcasting Corporation (OGBC).
