The Enugu State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Ahmed Abdurrahman, has urged newly promoted and decorated officers to redouble their efforts in crime fighting in the state.

News Express reports that the seven officers were recently promoted by the Police Service Commission (PSC).

Decorating the officers in Enugu on Monday, Abdurrahman said that the command was blessed to have seven Superintendents of Police (SPs) elevated to Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs).

He said that the Command was grateful to Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Mohammed Adamu, and the PSC for the promotion and recognition of the efforts of these officers.

“The Command is blessed to have seven new CSPs today, who have gone through proper decoration to their new ranks.

“These officers have shown commitment and dedication to the job and the command’s mandate to fighting crime in Enugu State,” the CP said.

He urged the decorated officers to keep the flag flying and ensure they redouble their efforts.

“Promotion do not come from man but from God and I hope you redouble your efforts to appreciate what the Almighty God had done for you,” he said.

Among the decorated officers is the Command’s Police Public Relations officer, CSP Ebere Amaraizu.

Amaraizu, who spoke on behalf of the other officers, thanked the IG, the PSC and Commissioner for making the promotion possible.

“On behalf of my promoted colleagues, I will assure the Nigeria Police, the command and entire Enugu state people that we will live up to the confidence repose on us and be more committed,” he said.
