On Sunday, November 24, 2019, Eedris Turayo Abdulkareem Ajenifuja simply known as Eedris Abdulkareem, took his fans by surprise when he sang extolling the virtues of the embattled Air Peace boss, Barrister Allen Onyema.
The “Nigeria Jaga Jaga” exponentdid this when he performed as a guest artiste at the 2019 LaVeronica Magazine’s Pink Awards held in Lagos.
The 45 years old Kano State-born hip hop artiste, song writer and singer whose father originally hails from Osun State and mother Ogun State, mimed to the video clip of his new single titled, “Onyeoma Onyema” at the well-attended event which had the First Lady of Akwa Ibom State, Mrs Martha Udom Emmanuel, as chairperson, among many other dignitaries.
When he mounted stage, Eedris first threw jibes about his “friendship” with former President Olusegun Obasanjo and attacked President Buhari for using fronts to attempt to suppress freedom of speech through the widely criticised Social Media Bill.
Commenting on the purported money laundering accusation levelled against Onyema who was represented by his management staff as Special Guest of Honour at the occasion, Eedris said, “Allen Onyema I stand with you until proven guilty. Ojoro no pay.”
Eedris who is popularly referred to as Mr Remedy by his teeming fans then moved to the high table, held the promoter of the awards event, Dr Joe Okei-Odumakin, took her to the stage and both started performing the new song to the delight of the audience.
