Music star Burna Boy
In his continued efforts to seek the unity of nations making up the African continent, Nigerian singer and songwriter, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu popularly known as Burna Boy has called for a united passport for all Africans.
In a recent tweet, the 28 years old Rivers State-born scintillating performer said: “Please my people, there should never be a South Africa vs Nigeria war or any African country vs African country war ever. We must unite by any means for the future of our children.”
Continuing, the afro-fusion, reggae and dancehall star said,
“I want a united African passport that will be as powerful as the American passport.”
To those who accused the multiple award winning artiste of misleading people and asking him to apologise for allegedly making up xenophobic attacks in South Africa, the self acclaimed African Giant has some words for them:
“Really? I laugh. In 2015 even I was a victim of the misguided hate, so I know. Go and demand apologies from your real enemies. I am not your enemy. I will not be called ‘foreigner’, I am African.”
And to South Africans he said, “Being South Africans does not make you more important than any other Africans.”
