Edo State Police Command says the police will not tolerate any form of lesbianism in the state.
The police authority read the riot act hours after police detectives commenced an investigation into the alleged criminal activities of one Miss Osaro Osawe and Vivian Eguavon said to be homosexuals in the state.
INDEPENDENT gathered that Osaro has been engaging in Gay activities for some years where some ladies have been lured into the act.
The suspects now in police net named miss Joy Eke, Itohan Omoriyekomwan, Jennifer Osarobo as her partners.
Reports also have it that Joy Eke and Itohan Omoriyekomwan were apprehended earlier by Ogbelaka people in Benin city in 2015 where they engaged in the act and were handed over to the police for prosecution where they both escaped from custody and yet to be seen.
It was also learnt that other accomplices named by the suspects as their partners would be made to face the full weight of the law. If found guilty, Osaro and Vivian risk a 14-year jail term according to Nigerian law on Gay and same-sex marriage. (Independent)
