Governor Sani Bello
Niger State Governor, Abubakar Sani Bello, has ordered the state Ministry of Works and Infrastructural Development to ensure the renovation of offices in various ministries in order to provide for a good working environment for staff to enhance efficiency.
A statement on Wednesday by Mrs. Mary Noel Berje, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, said the gave the directive during an unscheduled visit to the Ministry of Youths Development, Niger State Rural Electrification Board and the SSG’s office in Minna.
While assessing the offices, the Governor expressed concern over the dilapidated structures in the environment and other uncompleted projects in the complex, stressing that all offices must be put in good working condition no matter the portfolio ofstaff so as to enable workers carry out their duties diligently and effectively.
“These offices need to be renovated and new ones built so that staff can enjoy good working environment no matter their cadre. This will enable them work to the best of their ability and diligently carryout their duties,” the statement quoted the governor.
He also called on the Ministry of Works to facilitate the completion of all abandoned projects and renovation of dilapidated ones in the ministries.
In another development, Governor Sani Bello has condoled the State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Barrister Tanko Beji, over the death of his mother, Hajiya Fatima Beji, who died on the 10th of this month.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor said in a statement that her principal, during a condolence visit to the family of the deceased in Minna prayed Allah to grant her soul eternal rest and the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
“Islamically when someone loses a loved one it is rewarding to pay condolence visit to the family irrespective of party affiliation,” the statement said.
Prayers were offered for Allah to grant the deceased Aljanah Fidausi.
Governor Sani Bello was accompanied by His Chief of Staff, Alhaji Ibrahim Balarabe, and other top government functionaries.
