A survey of training providers has declared Business School Netherlands (BSN) as the best provider of MBA training in the Netherlands.

The rating, by Management Today, expectedly impacts positively on the profile of the BSN Action Learning MBA, which is also available in Nigeria.

Business School Netherlands Nigeria is one of the affiliate learning centres of Business School Netherlands across the world and operates from purpose-built facilities in the Ikeja GRA of Lagos, South-West Nigeria. They also run a study centre in the country’s capital, Abuja.

Nigeria is the second biggest BSN location in the world, and the school has on its current roll over 400 MBA students receiving tuition in the experiential action-learning paradigm pioneered by Business School Netherlands. To date the school has graduated over 160 “Action Learning” MBA researchers.

Business School Netherlands ranked top on the Management Today list that includes such notable schools as the Rotterdam School of Management of Erasmus University, Nyenrode Business Universiteit, the first private university in Netherlands, TSM Business School of the University of Twente and TiasNimbas, the business school of Tilburg University.

Business School Netherlands Nigeria, which released the result to the Nigerian media today, said it was proud of the achievements of its parent institution as it confirms the high ranking and reckoning of BSN by its, current students, alumni and their employers.

Lere Baale, Chief Executive of Business School Netherlands Nigeria, stated that the “action learning” orientation of BSN makes it the preferred institution for persons who want executive education that impacts directly on themselves, their work, their organisations and the future.

The Nigerian outreach of the world acclaimed BSN commenced operations in 2003 offering students tuition towards the Executive MBA of the school based on the “action learning” paradigm.

Baale disclosed that the school authorities are pleased with the high enthusiasm its action learning initiative has generated in Nigeria and is therefore poised to bring it closer to Nigerians, hence the relocation of the contact centre from Otta, Ogun State to GRA Ikeja.

He spoke at a media briefing to herald the 25th Anniversary of Business School Netherlands and its giant strides.

“In response to the high demand for BSN’s action learning, ease the stress of our students and avail more people of the chance to take advantage of our programmes,” according to Baale, “the school relocated the Lagos contact centre to GRA Ikeja in 2012. The school has also opened contact centres in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja and Port Harcourt, Rivers State. Plans have also advanced towards the opening of another contact centre in the Northern part of Nigeria in no distant time.”

The Chief Executive explained that BSN’s unique teaching and learning methods have earned the school accolades across the world and endeared it to students, graduates and employers, worldwide and particularly in Nigeria.

He therefore enjoined Nigerians desirous of internationally acknowledged MBA certificates to save themselves the financial stress and mental rigour of funding and procuring international travelling documents and take advantage of the BSN’s presence in Nigeria to fulfil their ambitions. His reason is that “the BSN MBA is awarded centrally in the Netherlands. The over 160 people that have earned the BSN’s MBA through the Nigerian outreach have had to satisfy the requirements of the parent institution.”

Baale also disclosed that as from 2013, the school has introduced additional requirements to strengthen its MBA programmes including an intensive study tour of the Netherlands for all overseas students.
