Leading telecoms operator, Airtel Nigeria, has been adjudged the Best Company in Education at the SERAs Awards 2014 in recognition of its contributions towards developing education in Nigeria through its CSR initiatives.

Airtel was honoured with the laurel at the 8th edition of the event held yesterdayat Muson Centre, Onikan, Lagos. The telco won the award category which was keenly contested by other nominees such as Samsung, Etisalat and Oando.

Through its robust CSR programmes such as the Adopt-a-School programme, Bridge IT project, Goal-for-Education scheme among others, the telco has been improving the standard and quality of education in Nigeria.

The SERAs, otherwise known as the Nigeria CSR Awards, is one of Nigeria’s highly respected award-giving institutions.
