Rescue of abducted Turkish expatriates: A sign of the determination of Government to rid Kwara of hoodlums, By Hon. A. A. Ndakene

Hon A A Ndakene

The news of the rescue of Turkish expatriates who were abducted about a week ago was indeed a welcome development and a clear message to hoodlums to steer clear of Kwara State as the Government of His Excellency, Alh. AbdulRazaq AbdulRahman, will leave no stones unturned to make Kwara safe for all.

It is no news that before now Kwara had been hotbed of myriads of security threats and the state was gradually becoming a haven for criminals. His Excellency gave his words to ensure a safe and secured Kwara if elected. I am happy that this promise is already being kept to the letter. The promptness of this rescue and the success achieved so far is worthy of commendation.

I want to thank the Vigilante group, the Police and all other security operatives who participated in this rescue. This kind of synergy must be sustained to completely rid our dear state of evil men who mean no well for our socioeconomic development. Members of the public are equally enjoined to be vigilant and security conscious at all times, as security is everybody’s business.

Finally, I want to thank His Excellency for making security of life and property of Kwarans and residents in the state a top priority. For without security, no meaningful development can take place.

Hon. A. A. Ndakene is Representative of Edu, Moro, Patigi Federal Constituency in the House of Reps, Abuja.
