There is a cold war currently going on in Nigerias music industry.
It all started as a joke when Tufaces manager Efe Omorogbe accused Tony Okoroji of multimillion naira embezzlement at the Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON) where he (Okoroji) holds sway as Chairman of the Board.
Before one could say Jack, some top stakeholders in the industry had teamed up with Efe against Okoroji who was recently elected to continue in office after his tenure had expired.
Okoroji says Efe is spearheading the campaign against him because he asked Efe to pay back all the loans he had collected from COSON.
But now the ˜war has expanded with top music stars taking the centrestage to accuse Okoroji of massive fraud at COSON.
Banky W, Pretty Okafor, Tuface Idibia and many others are demanding for external audit of COSON accounts and Okorojis probe.
Who will save this former president of the Performing Musicians Employers Association of Nigeria (PMAN) from this fast approaching calamity?
Will Okoroji surrender himself and the organisation he heads for this X-ray?
The world is watching.
