The dastardly act of armed robbery in Nigeria has been depicted in the make-believe world at various times.

They have come in different forms of story telling across the ages: The Bar Beach Show, The Rise and Fall of Dr. Oyenusi, Anini, Bolous 80 and The Black Arrow, to mention but a few.

These flicks were awesome, breathtaking and hearts shattering, to say the least.

The actors in these movies interpreted their roles so well that viewers could easily mistake the actions for real, only to wake and jump up to the realisation that they’re gazing at a movie screen.

The Black Arrow was released in the late 90s. The lead character, Black Arrow, was the most notorious armed robber in that flick, the mention of whose name sent jitters down the spine of law enforcement agents.

Segun Aina Arinze played that character so well that the name Black Arrow soon became his second name off the screen.

Feelers reaching Maggie’s Blog suggest that there is soon going to be a second part of that epoch-making flick produced by the man fondly known in Nollywood as Mr Prolific. And that’s none other than Chico Ejiro, the man behind Grand Touch Pictures.

Thursday was Chico and his beautiful wife, Joy’s 21st marriage anniversary. Sources close to the hardworking couple hinted that Grand Touch Pictures is set to produce The Return of Black Arrow before the end of this year to mark their wedding anniversary.

Segun Arinze made a mild reference to this project recently when he asked on his Instagram page: “Will you like to see the movie, The Return of Black Arrow? Say Yes or No”.
