A commercial driver popularly called SAPAMO along with four passengers travelling from Ayetoro/Gbede in Ijumu council area of Kogi State have been reportedly kidnapped Along Obajana – Kabba road.

The activities of the kidnappers seem to have resurfaced along Obajana road, this is after security efforts had put them on check.

The commercial driver and the passengers were said to be returning to Lokoja the state capital on Monday when they were attacked and abducted.

A family source of the driver said the kidnappers have contacted the family demanding for N10m initially.

The source said after much negotiation, the kidnappers lowered the ransom to N4m for their brother (SAPAMO), and the four kidnapped others.

Efforts to reach the state Police Public Relation officer, Williams Anya, was not successful as he is yet to respond to calls put across to his mobile lines. (Vanguard)
