The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about Nigeria’s weather condition for today, Tuesday, April 9, 2019:
NORTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy and sunny condition is likely over this region throughout the forecast period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 37 – 43℃and 25 – 29℃respectively.
CENTRAL STATES: Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions are likely over this region, except Mambila Plateau, Lokoja, and Ilorin axis where there is prospect of localised thunderstorm during the morning hours. As the day progresses there are chances of localised thunderstorms over Lafia, Jos, Mambila plateau, Abuja and Makurdi during the afternoon/evening period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 33 – 41℃and 16 – 27℃respectively.
SOUTHERN STATES: there are chances of localised thunderstorm over Akure, Ado-Ekiti, Lagos, Port Harcourt, Calabar, Eket, Yenogoa, Warri and Ikom in the morning hours. Later in the day, scattered thunderstorms are anticipated over this region in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are to be in the range of 32 – 35℃and 23 – 26℃respectively.
