Oritsefemi pulls out of ‘Fvck You’ challenge… Apologises to fans

•Popular afro beat crooner Oritsefemi

Popular afro beat crooner, Oritse Femi Majemite Ekele popularly known by his stage name Oritsefemi, has dumped two of his musical colleagues namely, Sound Sultan and MI, who together have been promoting what they call the ‘Fvck You’ series.

The three artistes have, for some weeks now, been creating promo materials and run them on their different social media platforms to condemn various issues in the society under the series.

But on Wednesday, Oritsefemi made a U-turn and dumped his other colleagues.

In a statement published on his Instagram page, the 34 years old self-styled Musical Taliban said: “Based on concession from the Situation Room, I hereby withdraw my humble self from the ongoing Fvck You challenges. Sorry guys. Not for my personality.”

In another statement on Thursday, he said: “I’m really sorry for the disappointment my people. Let’s move on. Forward forever, guys.”

Some observers say the multiple award winning recording artiste must have realised the indecency in the use of the word headlining their campaign and has decided to pull out.

One of his fans observed: “How can you say you want to fight against negativity in the society and you are using indecent words in your promo? I respect Oritse Femi’s decision to pull out from that naughty campaign.”

Hmmm, two wrongs cannot make a right, you’d say.
