Nollywood star actress and singer, Stella Damasus, has indeed seen it all in life. The mother of two girls, Isabella and Angelica, just when she thought she had arrived, lost her husband Wale Aboderin to the cold hands of death some years back.

Not too long after that, she found love again. She got married to Daniel Ademinokan.

Stella, now approaching 50 and whose daughter Isabel recently wrote, produced and directed a yet-to-be-released short film, says she has now discovered the key to her happiness, the key to her Joy.

Hear her: “Sometimes we have no control over what happens to us. We can’t control what people say or do to us. What we can control is how we react to it. I choose joy.

“Even though it’s hard to believe or accept, God will never give us more than we can handle. Choose joy and live a healthier life. If you choose anger and sadness, what will it change? The choice is yours.”

As if to show the practical side of what she preaches, Stella who was nominated for “Best Actress in a Leading Role” at the African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) in 2009 was recently spotted with her husband in Paris on vacation via photos she shared on her Instagram page.

In the said photos, Stella and Daniel were kissing deeply, mouth to mouth, and having fun.
