The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about Nigeria’s weather condition for today, Friday, March 8, 2019:
NORTHERN STATES: Sunny and hazy condition is anticipated over the region throughout the forecast period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the ranges of 35 –40℃ and 18 – 26℃ respectively.
CENTRAL STATES: Partly cloudy conditions are expected over the region except Mambilla Plateau where there is likelihood of localised thunderstorm in the morning hours. There are chances of localised thunderstorms over Abuja, Makurdi, Lafia, Niger, Lokoja, Mambilla Plateau and its environs in the afternoon/evening period. Day and Night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 – 39℃ and 21 – 26℃.
SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected except Obudu, Lagos and Ijebu-Ode where there are prospects of localised thunderstorm in the morning hour. Later in the day there are chances of localised thunderstorms over Oshogbo, Ado-Ekiti, Akure, Abeokuta, Lagos, Ijebu-Ode, Enugu, Awka, Obudu, Ogoja, Ikom, Eket, Calabar, Port Harcourt, Yenagoa and Uyo. Day time temperatures are expected to be in the range of 27 – 36℃ and 20- 26℃ for maximum and minimum respectively.
