Seven roads in the Abuja, the Nigerian capital, will be closed to traffic on Tuesday, January 15, during the celebration of the 2019 Armed Forces Remembrance Day.
Acting Director of Defence Information, Brigadier General John Agim, said in a statement on Thursday that the roads would be blocked in the morning “as part of activities to ensure the smooth celebration of this year Armed Forces Remembrance Day Parade which will take place on 2019 at the National Arcade Abuja by 9am.”
He identified the roads as Court of Appeal junction, Foreign Affairs junction, Bayelsa House junction, Benue House junction, Phase 3 flyover, Aso Drive by phase 3, and MOPOL gate behind National Arcade.
“All inconveniences are highly regretted. Join the Armed Forces in remembering the fallen heroes who sacrificed their lives for peace and security of our dear nation,” Agim said.
